As a heavily-anticipated and much-ballyhooed annual red carpet event that shines a hot white spotlight on brands most preferred by Filipinos – while recognizing the global success and impeccable excellence exuded by the Filipino people – The Filipino Times Awards is the brainchild of The Filipino Times, the largest Filipino-oriented newspaper in the Middle East and the most formidable online platform for Filipinos in the region. The Eurocake division of the Dofreeze company made a major splash at this year’s awards as an esteemed Support Sponsor, cheering on the top Filipino personalities who have had a major impact on the lives of their countrymen and who have uplifted the Filipino spirit and image – not only in the UAE, but across the world.
More than 40,000 voted in the biggest online poll of its kind via The Filipino Times Awards website for the Brand category, selecting from over 200 brands that landed on the final list of nominees; companies that have exhibited excellence in the area of providing premium services for Filipinos were also given due recognition in the Company category. All in all, a total of 34 brands and companies were awarded, with such notables being Emirates Airlines (Preferred Airline of the Year), du Telecom (Preferred Telecom Company of the Year), RAKBANK (Preferred Bank of the Year), City Center Deira (Preferred Shopping Mall of the Year) and Sharaf DG (Preferred Electronics Outlet of the Year).
For their part, representatives of Dofreeze and its Eurocake division were proud to be part of all the glitz and glamour surrounding the award ceremony, noting that beyond all the gorgeous sequin dresses, sky-high stiletto heels and proud, smiling faces, this was one event that truly dove into the heart of what it means to be Filipino.
